The Residential Community had it's first outing in the new 12 seater Toyota Hi Ace Commuter Bus to the "Sculptures by the Sea" art exhibition on Thursday. It was a perfect afternoon to go down to Cottesloe Beach, and the beach art was an added bonus. The new commuter bus will enable greater flexibility in quickly rounding up a group of enthusiastic boys to go 'out and about'.

One of the fun things was to swim out to the large clear floating ball, where the boys were diving for crabs. They also had some fun posing for photographs with the art pieces as well as throwing the tennis ball and water ball around. There were some fun shots of the giant pencil, watch and emus. Scotty found a new friend and Douglas’ strength and balancing ability was clearly evident. Beach lifesavers took on a different meaning – much more tasteful.

"The beach visit to Cottesloe in the brand new Toyota Hi-ace (the bus) came as a great way to test out the comfort and handling of the new vehicle. While we were at the beach we checked out some great pieces of amazing art down on the beach and also had a quick swim on the beautiful 30-degree day. Before heading back to the boarding house we had a few photos with new bus and showed our great jumping ability in our own ‘oh what a feeling’ Toyota ad. Then sadly made our way back to the boarding house. I am looking forward to the next trip already."

"Thursday 5 March was a fine and sunny day for a group of Knutsford bus beachgoers. We headed off in our ripper, new Toyota 12 seater, which was skippered by Mr McGurk. Cott beach was pristine on the day and filled with amazing sculptures by the sea’, including a giant clear ball floating 100 metres off the beach) which a few of the boys with Mr McGurk swam out to) and a bundle of large buried sea containers. At the end of the afternoon we had an exciting and talented Toyota snap. Thanks for Mr McGurk for the cruisy ride and to Sam, BJ and Jordan for assisting with the younger boys."
