Travel to and from Christ Church
Getting to Christ Church Grammar School
Traffic congestion requires a whole of community approach, especially when there are two schools side by side, with students completing the school day at the same time. The drop-off and pick-up loop near Sandover is for Preparatory students only. All Senior School students should be picked up from locations away from the campus – see map here. We ask parents to consider empowering their son to ‘walk a little way’. Not only is this good for his health, but it is also a social activity when done with peers and demonstrates trust and responsibility.
Christ Church Grammar School is well-serviced by Transperth buses and the nearby Claremont train station. However, we recognise some areas are not on a direct route. To meet the needs of these students we provide bus services to and from certain areas.
Christ Church Grammar School and Methodist Ladies’ College bus services
The School operates a tag on/tag off system for all school bus services with MLC. To utilise the system, students must use their student ID card. A student ID card is automatically issued to every student when they enter the Senior School. Preparatory School students wishing to use the bus services can request a student ID card by visiting the Preparatory School Reception. Parents may also make a request for a student ID card by phoning the Preparatory School Reception on 9442 1666.
Please Note: While the student ID card can be used for both Transperth and MLC/CCGS bus services the credit on each account is separate. Travel credit for the school buses must be arranged through the RollCall parent app (see further information below) or via cash/EFTPOS payment at Main Reception. Parents may also make credit card payment over the phone (9442 1555) to add funds to their child’s card. There is no credit limit on the card for travel, so parents may wish to consider placing one large credit amount to minimise the number of visits needed to load credit.
RollCall Parent App
The RollCall Parent App allows parents to:
- see student movements in real-time – getting on and off the bus and as they travel between destinations
- select a bus route and stop for your son
- receive email notifications and alerts about any variations to the bus route

To access the App, please contact communication@ccgs.wa.edu.au, or call 9442 1527 and you will receive an email directly from RollCall with information on how to download and log in to the App. The email will provide you with instructions to create your account within the App, please follow all the instructions carefully. Due to security reasons, this email must be actioned in 48 hours.
