This week I had the pleasure of meeting with Archbishop Goldsworthy, who made history in February when she was installed as the Anglican Archbishop of Perth and the world’s first female Anglican Archbishop. As a leading Anglican boys’ school in Perth we are extremely fortunate to have a strong connection with Christ Church, Claremont and the Anglican Diocese.  It has shaped our culture of inclusion and acceptance, and our willingness to serve and demonstrate empathy to others. We are a community impacted by our foundation, a foundation formed in the Church that gives us our name, and are proud of our inclusive community which is enhanced by respecting and enrolling boys of all faiths.

On Saturday, we have a wonderful gathering planned at our sporting grounds. We have invited a number of old boys and special guests to join us for the PSA Indigenous Round which also coincides with National Sorry Day, and we will have a Welcome to Country ceremony before the start of the first fixture at Mt Claremont, and I hope to see many of you there.

Next Thursday wraps up a busy half term for all boys and staff. The break comes at a great time for our Senior School boys who can embrace some extra study time and our boarders will look forward to going home to family and catching up with friends and relatives.
