Last Friday, we held our annual Principal’s Cadet Parade, recognising Christ Church Cadets who have demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the year. The event was well-attended by family, friends, staff and old boys, with Principal Alan Jones awarding the student prizes.

Following the Parade, the Year 12 Cadets were honoured at the Principal’s Dinner. The evening was a chance for parents, school leadership, and representatives from the Australian Defence Force and Cadets to come together and acknowledge the Cadets’ hard work. Congratulations to the Cadet Unit and all the award winners for their exceptional accomplishments.

Co-ordinator of Army Cadets Major Duane Nurse, commented on the significance of this event.

“This is an important day for our Cadets, and our Year 12 students in particular, as they come to the end of their Cadet service. We also appreciate and recognise the supportive Christ Church community, who come together to acknowledge their efforts.”

“Our Cadets program aims to build resilience, develop character, and equip our students with valuable skills they can take with them in life beyond school. They remain very focused throughout the year, tackling the challenges thrown at them, and the Principal’s Cadet Parade and Dining-in Night are a chance for them to showcase this to their families and celebrate their individual and collective accomplishments.”
