This week, the School is proudly celebrating Harmony Week, a time to honour Australia’s rich cultural diversity and promote unity among people from all walks of life.
Throughout the week, students are gaining a deeper understanding of the many cultures that make up our vibrant Australian community. The Preparatory School daily bulletins share facts and messages about the significance of cultural diversity, highlighting how it strengthens, enriches, and connects us all. In library lessons, students are encouraged to reflect on and celebrate their own cultural heritage, sharing personal stories from their families. Meanwhile, teachers are engaging in meaningful classroom discussions, exploring the themes of Harmony Week and emphasising the importance of inclusivity.
Today at lunch, the Senior School Prefects will host a sausage sizzle to raise funds for the Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, and Detainees (CARAD), a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting refugees and asylum seekers. CARAD provides essential services, advocacy, and welfare to those in need.
