Christ Church boys’ musical talent on show
Published on: 26 May 2022
Christ Church Grammar School’s incredible music students have been displayed their skills during last week’s St George’s Cathedral Concerts at One performance and the CCGS Virtual Music Concert 2022.
Christ Church Grammar School students enthralled the St George’s Cathedral audience with their focus and energy.
The Concerts at One series is a hugely popular lunchtime concert series in the heart of the city – a free concert open to the public to attend and enjoy a wide variety of music and performances from WA schools and universities.
Christ Church musicians perform annually at St George’s, providing a solo performance opportunity for students of a variety of ages, instruments and musical experience.
This year we were thankful to return to this public performance space, enjoying excellent performances from Preparatory students Michael Cui (piano), Daniel Foo (voice and violin) and Max Zhang (Clarinet) presenting widely contrasting and engaging repertoire from Bach to Faure.
Senior students Aiden Tan (guitar), Jun Yang Yap (piano), William Wu (violin) and William Ji (cello) impressed the audience with their polished performances and mature musicality.
To replace the cancelled Combined Concert with St. Hilda’s in Term 1, the CCGS Virtual Music Concert 2022 has been produced; a wonderful celebration of our School Choir, Jazz Band 1, Orchestra and Concert Band.
Over the past week we have been sharing their performances on our Facebook page.
