This week, we’re celebrating National Boarding Week, running from Sunday 12 to Saturday 18 May, dedicated to honouring the pivotal role boarding plays in shaping the lives of young Australians.

The week has seen a vibrant tapestry of events take place around the campus from Monday’s mechanical bull riding competition, where boarders and their day student peers competed to see who could stay on the longest, to the spirited showdown on the basketball court where boarders faced off against staff.

Throughout the week we have been sharing photos of our boarders homes on our social media pages. Please click here to browse some of these amazing snapshots of their lives outside of school.

Christ Church Grammar School Director of Boarding Todd Harnwell said the week underscored the transformative power of a boarding education.

“National Boarding Week serves as a platform to underscore the profound influence of our closely-knit residential community,” he said.

“It’s a time to celebrate the enduring friendships and bonds that are forged here, alongside the unwavering academic and pastoral support that shapes the journey of our boarders.”

“Through National Boarding Week, we illuminate the sense of belonging and unity that defines the boarding experience, reaffirming our commitment to nurturing not just students, but lifelong connections and a profound sense of home.”
