Christ Church students promote arts as a mental wellbeing strategy
Published on: 11 May 2023
Last week, Christ Church and MLC students wrapped up the last of their four sessions for the Good Arts Good Mental Health Schools Challenge.
Students presented their campaign to promote the arts as a mental wellbeing strategy to the community. Their campaign had to include the slogan ‘Good Arts, Good Mental Health’ or they could create their own. The program was run by The University of Western Australia, and attended by a representative from the Minderoo Foundation, one of the project’s funding partners.
Through this program, students gained a deeper understanding of mental wellbeing, awareness of coping strategies, and an introduction to health promotion marketing and communications. At Christ Church, the health and wellbeing of our boys is our priority. Through our pastoral care, co-curricular programs, and our Wynne Centre for Health and Wellbeing, we support boys in making informed decisions regarding their mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
