This week the Senior School Student Wellbeing Committee have organised a variety of activities to raise awareness of Mental Health Week.
On Monday the Senior Library hosted a number of activities including, custom bookmark making, board and card games and a visit from Koji – Ms Gould’s dog.
During lunchtime on Tuesday, Senior School band Fluro delivered an entertaining performance of a handful of covers and even some original songs for those boys in attendance in the Refectory.
On Wednesday the Year 11 members of the Student Wellbeing Committee led a yoga session during lunch time which gave the boys an excellent opportunity to create a moment of tranquility into an otherwise busy week of activities.
On Thursday the whole school was encouraged to wear bright and colourful socks for Happy Sock Day and a 3-point shot competition took place in the Old Gym which tested the accuracy of some of the School’s basketball talent. Afterwards boys were invited to team up and challenge each other at spike ball.
These Mental Health Week activities are part of the School’s ongoing support for a proactive approach to holistic wellbeing driven by The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing.
