Our Kindergarten students welcomed dual Olympic gymnast and eight-time Commonwealth Games medalist, Allana Slater, for a special visit to their classroom and Physical Education lesson.  Joining them in the classroom, she shared valuable messages of perseverance, bravery, and hard work. Allana is also a current parent, which made the visit extra special for the class. Christ Church is very lucky to have such an engaged community who contribute to our students’ learning and we would like to thank Allana for coming in to share her experiences and inspire our young gymnasts. 

This visit was also very timely, as we continue to celebrate our Christ Church old boy Olympians. Some old boys we’ll be showcasing include Bill Kirby OAM, Travis Nederpelt, George and Andrew Ford, Tommaso D’Orsogna, and John Hedges, who is currently competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
