The School recently hosted the Year 12 Building Good Men Breakfast, providing Year 12 students with an opportunity to engage with highly successful individuals who have overcome challenges to accomplish significant goals.

For this annual event, Christ Church carefully selects a panel of guest speakers from a diverse range of disciplines who will offer thoughtful insights and inspire our Year 12 students to excel in their lives beyond school. This year, we welcomed:
The speakers discussed identifying what it is your passionate about, and how this takes shape, changes, and impacts the decisions you make in life after school, such as what to study and what you’d like to do as a job or career. Two recurring topics among all speakers were empathy and excellence.
Lachlan, a chef by trade who went straight from school into the workforce, shared some important key messages with the students. “Whatever task you are given, do it to your very best ability no matter what the task. The people that demonstrate excellence in their work, always rise above”, he commented.
Kate Chaney encouraged students to “approach everyone with compassion, they are like you and a product of different circumstances”, while Matthew Tissiman discussed the importance of understanding that everyone comes from different walks of life and to treat all people with respect.
