Guest teacher delivers a musical theatre masterclass

This term our Year 10 Drama students have been hard at work singing and dancing as part of a five-week Musical Theatre unit.
In preparation for the culmination of this unit, a performance of a 5-minute segment of the 1961 musical ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’, the students spent two weeks with guest practitioner, performer and director, Peter Cumins who taught a masterclass on musical theatre, choreography and singing.
Mr Cumins is a professional actor and educator, originally from Perth, Western Australia. He trained in Musical Theatre at the Arts Educational School in London where he gained his BA (Hons). He has toured extensively throughout the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand with theatre credits including; Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, New Jersey Nights, Mary Poppins, Legally Blonde, Beauty & the Beast, and Pirates of Penzance, among others.
