The Midnite Youth Theatre Company’s production of Guys and Dolls is well underway, with two preview performances on Tuesday and opening night last night.

Our Senior School students will take the stage, together with their peers, for this show-stopping Broadway classic. Guys and Dolls will run until Saturday 3 August, with the closing night performance now sold out. You can preview the action in this highlight reel video. Tickets are available to purchase here.

Involvement in Drama as a subject or being part of a production builds confidence, fosters collaboration, and develops empathy within our students. These are just some of the many benefits of Drama, which extend to the Performing Arts more generally. Students at Christ Church are involved in Drama from a young age, with opportunities in the Preparatory School ranging from class performances at Assembly to the incredibly popular Year 6 production.

As they transition to Senior School, students can pursue their interest in Drama as a subject, available to study at a general or ATAR level in Years 11 and 12, or audition for productions run by The Midnite Youth Theatre Company or one of the School’s Drama productions. Operating out of the Senior School campus, The Midnite Youth Theatre Company, whose Artistic Director Greg Jones is the Head of Drama at Christ Church, offers our students a chance to experience being part of a professional-level theatre production, and also the chance to socialise with their peers from other schools. If being in the spotlight isn’t for them, students can be involved as theatre technicians, where they develop skills essential to the backstage operations of a theatre production.
