Each year Christ Church Grammar School’s Beyond Queenslea Drive program provides a world of lifetime experiences for Year 10 boys.

In Term 3, the exchange program saw students Stan Birch and Oliver Harmer spend four-weeks at Montgomery Bell Academy in Tennessee, USA.

“My host family were the Stevens and they were very nice and welcoming. I had the opportunity to visit their family farm situated 45-minutes away and their friend’s lake house which had two jet skis plus a boat,” says Stan.

“Similarly, Oliver’s host family were a nice family who were very welcoming.”

“In the area of learning, I got to study subjects such as American History, Geometry, English, Theatre Arts and French.”

“During our time at MBA we attended numerous varsity football games as well as a homecoming dance.”

“Homecoming is traditionally centered around a particular football game when all of the alumna who graduated from the school are invited back for a reunion and an opportunity to watch a game.”

“Overall, the exchange trip was amazing and such a good experience. Everyone at the school was nice and welcoming and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
