Last week, the annual Midnite Awards were held at the Drama Centre with more than 150 guests in attendance. This event is often The Midnite Youth Theatre Company’s biggest night, presenting honours to the most outstanding theatre company members for the year.

The evening was hosted by Captain of Drama 2024,  Jasper Hatton, and included performances from a selection of productions from this year such as Cathedral, Guys and Dolls as well as a preview of the next show, Holes.

Leo Award winners this year included Angus Roberts and Rowan Winnall (Cathedral), Matthew Bennett and Jack Robertson (On the Road…), Ed Rawlins, Grace Trainor and Madeleine Biddle (Guys and Dolls) and Production and Stage Management Leos Awards for Nicholas Sangalli and Manuela Souza. The winner of the Tim Willoughby Award for Outstanding Performance went to Jasper Hatton for his role as Dale Carnegie in the production of On the Road to Win Friends and Influence People. The Awards were followed by the 2025 season launch by Artistic Director Gregory Jones.
