In support of the Youth Focus charity, boys from the Preparatory School purchased a sausage and drink for lunch on Tuesday. To ensure the cooking ran smoothly, Principal Alan Jones was in the kitchen taking charge of the sizzle as orders rolled in.

“It was great to see so many orders coming through knowing that the funds were going to a good cause. As a school community it’s important to raise awareness around mental health issues and strategies to assist”, said Mr Jones.

Youth Focus is an independent West Australian not-for-profit working to stop youth suicide. Working with young people aged 12 to 25, Youth Focus helps them overcome issues associated with depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal thoughts through the provision of free, unlimited and professional face-to-face individual and family counselling.

Over $2000 was raised from the sizzle. A big thank you to everyone who purchased a sausage and drink.
