Award winning and popular Australian children’s author, Andy Griffiths was at Christ Church last Friday to launch his highly anticipated new book The 117-Storey Treehouse to an audience of over 1,100 primary school students from across WA.

Hot on the heels of the successful Scribblers Festival, the book launch offered students from a number of regional and rural primary schools a fantastic opportunity to hear from one of their favourite authors.

“Christ Church was very fortunate to be able to host this special event which brought together students from all over the state with a shared interest in the wonderful stories of Andy Griffiths,” said Preparatory School Teacher Librarian, Sophie Smith.

“It was wonderful to witness the children’s reactions as Andy brought to life one of their favourite stories.”

Following the book launch, students from Kalannie Primary School toured the Christ Church campus before joining our Year 4, 5 and 6 students in their classrooms for activities and storytelling.
