Prep boys run for Cambodian Children’s Fund

Preparatory School boys gave their all for the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) on Wednesday by taking part in the annual Prep School Lapathon.
The lapathon, in which boys ran as many laps of the Prep School Oval as possible for 20 minutes, was the Giles House fundraising event for this year.
Giles House Co-ordinator Sally MacKinnon said Giles had been working with Director of Service in Action (SIA) Mark Tait and Year 11 boys to raise money for CCF, who provides life-changing education, health care, nutrition, safe shelter and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities.
“The atmosphere at the lapathon was energetic with the boys enjoying each lap to a musical playlist made by Year 6 students.
“It was lovely to see so many parents supporting their boys and encouraging them to complete more laps.”
Prep teachers Jay Pyefinch and Rachael Durston will join the SIA tour to Cambodia in December where they will present the funds raised by the Prep boys.
