Progress on show at swimming carnival

Boys took part in the Pre-Primary to Year 2 Swimming Carnival on Tuesday – the culmination of their intensive swimming program over the past three weeks.
All boys had an opportunity to swim in three different races including freestyle, backstroke and torpedo, finishing with a non-compulsory butterfly race for Year 2s. A group of Year 6 students provided assistance in and around the pool to the younger boys and staff.
Pre-Primary to Year 3 Physical Education Teacher Kim Malajczuk said the swimming carnival allowed the boys to show their parents, teachers and themselves, how much progress they had made in the pool after three weeks of swimming lessons with MLC girls and led by Kirby Swim instructors.
“All the boys gave their best, swam beautifully and most importantly, had a great time,” said Mrs Malajczuk.
