Prep students gear up for milestones
Published on: 5 March 2025
Our Preparatory School students have been actively engaged in their co-curricular programs, with our Year 6 boys embarking on a three-day adventure at Kooringal and our Year 4 students beginning their Little Queenslea Drive (LQD) experience.
At Kooringal, the boys will take part in a range of outdoor activities, including bushwalking, environmental awareness, orienteering, canoeing, and camping. A key aspect of the experience is developing essential life skills, such as preparing their own evening meals. This immersive program fosters resilience, teamwork, and independence, encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and strengthen their problem-solving abilities. By engaging with the natural environment, they also develop a deeper appreciation for sustainability and the value of collaboration. These experiences not only create lasting memories but also equip students with skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Our Year 4 students will participate in an overnight learning experience designed to foster participation, cooperation, resilience, and teamwork. Through a range of hands-on activities and challenges, the boys will enhance their ability to collaborate, adapt to new situations, and build confidence as they embrace this exciting milestone in their school journey.
