Last Friday, the School hosted the Preparatory School Final Prize Giving Assembly, a momentous occasion that celebrated the achievements of students in Years 3 to 6. The event not only honoured academic excellence but also recognised the personal growth, creativity, and contributions of students across a variety of areas, including the arts, music, and service to the School community.
In his address, Dr Steven Males, Head of the Preparatory School, commended the students for their perseverance, dedication, and camaraderie.
“This time of year is not just an endpoint, but an opportunity to reflect on the hard work, growth, and learning that have taken place,” Dr Males said.
“It is a moment to express our gratitude for all that we have achieved. Each of you has grown, developed valuable skills, and built lasting friendships. The bonds you’ve formed have helped you face challenges and celebrate achievements, big and small.”
The assembly also featured an incredible musical performance by Year 6 student Eamon Dyke, who played a beautiful rendition of Andante by Mendelssohn on the clarinet.
