Postcard from Singapore Tour and Immersion
Published on: 11 April 2014
On arriving at Changi Airport, we were greeted by Mrs Ang and taken to St Andrew’s School by bus to settle into our rooms. We were all starving so we headed out for a traditional hawker meal nearby and were all surprised about the crazy cheap prices, like the chicken rice for $2.30! After the amazing Singaporean cuisine we headed out via MRT to Sentosa Island to the SEA Aquarium and then to Marina Bay. We were amazed at the buildings like the Science and Art Museum shaped like a Lotus flower, Helix Bridge shaped like human DNA and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel that looks like it has a boat floating on top of it! After inspecting the wonderful view around the bay, we headed to the Glutton’s Bay open-air food market. Once again we were amazed by the amount of food available, the idyllic location with city views and the laser show, with meals all for less than $10. After being on the go for 18 hours, it was time to head home to rest up for tomorrow’s activities including the Singapore Zoo, shopping at Mustafa Shopping Centre and dinner in Little India. We are also looking forward to our first day at St Andrew’s and meeting our new buddies.
