Midnite Youth Theatre Company’s most recent production, Godspell, opened on Tuesday. An innovative musical, Godspell features songs by Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz, whose iconic works include Wicked, Pippin, Enchanted, and Pocahontas. The production runs until Saturday 29 March at the Subiaco Arts Centre. A Broadway sensation, Godspell is inspired by the Gospel of Matthew, blending storytelling, comedy, and a vibrant mix of musical styles ranging from pop to cabaret.

The cast features a talented group of old boys, many of whom discovered their passion for drama at the School and have continued to pursue their love for theatre with Midnite after graduation.

“We are delighted to bring this musical to life, filled with incredible songs and joy,” said Midnite Artistic Director Gregory Jones.

“It’s both playful and inspiring, highly energetic and poignant, with an incredible ensemble of emerging Western Australian performers at the heart of it.”
