Year 11s receive life changing advice

Former U.S. Navy SEAL and leadership consultant Chandler Comerford was at Christ Church this term sharing key insights with our Year 11 boys.
‘One decision can change your life’ was the topic of focus with Chandler discussing how to make effective choices when faced with tough decisions and encouraging the boys to strive to be the best version of themselves.
Christ Church Grammar School has had the pleasure of Chandler presenting on campus to students over the past three years.
Director of The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing, Liam Casson commented on how the advice delivered by Chandler was incredibly well received and valued by students on every visit.
“Whether he is talking to leadership teams, athletes or high school students – the question and answer session after the talks provide a format whereby the students can further explore the concepts, areas they’d like to seek clarity on and gain further perspective on how the tools they’ve harnessed can be applied within their own lives,” said Mr Casson.
Year 11 student Parker Robinson said it was tremendously engaging and commendable to hear the vulnerability Chandler Comerford spoke with.
“Personally, I took away that to be passive from choice is a choice in its very self. He is an inspirational figure and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” said Parker.
Chandler was involved in Operation Red Wings – a U.S. Navy SEAL mission which took place in the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan in 2005 and later was made into the movie, Lone Survivor.
