Brodie Albert (Year 11), recipient of a Shell Indigenous Scholarship at Christ Church Grammar School, recently represented the School at an event to mark National Reconciliation Week, hosted by Shell.
Brodie joined a panel of Indigenous leaders from around WA to discuss reconciliation. Christ Church Indigenous Co-ordinator Chris Miles said, “Brodie was a fabulous ambassador for the School and spoke with great passion about reconciliation from the perspective of a young Indigenous man.”
Brodie was delighted to represent Christ Church at the event and was very thankful for the opportunity he had been given as a Shell Scholar.
“It was great to be in the company of such inspirational Indigenous leaders, such as Josie Janz-Dawson. She is from a similar area to me up in the Kimberly and attended PLC, which is just around the corner from Christ Church.”
For the past two and a half years Shell Australia has partnered with Christ Church to offer four Indigenous boys the opportunity of a Christ Church education.
