The Christ Church community was together in spirit early Saturday morning to mark an important occasion for all Australians and New Zealanders.

ANZAC Day was commemorated with a trumpeter performing The Last Post and The Rouse (Reveille) at the entrance to the School on Queenslea Drive. Four cadets from the School’s Army Cadet Unit (ACU) under the guidance of Officer Commanding, Captain Conrad Scott were present.

“We were pleased to be a part of RSLWA’s call for support this ANZAC Day,” said Captain Conrad Scott.

“Our cadets presented a very high standard and were exemplary in their guard delivery.”

“While this year’s ANZAC Day celebrations were unlike all that have preceded us, it’s an important part of our students’ education to observe occasions like such, pay respect and be a good community citizen.”

Residents near the School were invited to take part in the occasion by standing in their driveway to observe the service at 6.00am.

The School wishes to thank all members who contributed to the service.
