Christ Church boys swim hearts out

Christ Church took back its crown as the fastest swimmers at the Schools and Colleges Relays at the weekend.
Christ Church’s 6 x 50m Freestyle Relay Team, comprising the fastest swimmers in the School, won the Pop Agnew Memorial Cup at Challenge Stadium on Sunday. Christ Church also won the trophy for the overall best boys’ school of the event, which attracted about 2,000 competitors from more than 40 metropolitan and country schools.
The 6 x 50m Freestyle Relay Team included Captain of Swimming James Hoey (25.87), Charlie Moorman (25.54), Aidan Walsh (25.79), Alex Brogan (24.92), Jeremy Hopkins (25.30) and Lawrence Mitchell (25.70). Teacher-in-Charge of Aquatics Luke Farmer said the next event on the swimming calendar was the QUADS Carnival on Thursday 6 March.
