The Christ Church First VI water polo team have started the season in style, competing in the Tom Hoad Cup International Tournament at Bicton Pool.
The 18 and under competition included the top club teams from the WA state league, as well as international sides from Piestany, Slovakia and Marseille, France.
The competition was the first opportunity for the Christ Church side to play as a team against quality opponents in preparation for the 2016 PSA season. The boys were highly competitive in every game, with a fantastic win against Marseille and narrow losses to Melville and Piestany.
Prior to the competition, the dedicated team completed a three week intensive training program. With a second three week training camp beginning in January, the boys are highly motivated to win the PSA water polo competition (Dickinson Shield).
