Romsey claims win at 2017 House Swimming Carnival

Romsey House claimed its second consecutive victory on Tuesday night at the Senior School House Swimming Carnival held at HBF Stadium.
With 750 points, Romsey won the Lapinski-McCoubrie Cup ahead of Wolsey (705), followed by Moyes (659.5), Noake (649), Jupp (612.5), Craigie (595), Queenslea (591) and Hill (545).
Year 8 student, Kai Wylie broke the School’s Under 14 50m Freestyle record, which has stood since 2004. Kai swam the distance in 26.68 seconds.
Year 10 student, Hugh Moran achieved two records. Hugh swam the Under 16 100m Freestyle in 55.03 seconds breaking the 2006 record by 0.64 seconds. He also equaled the 2006 record of 27.45 seconds in the Under 16 50m Butterfly.
Jupp House managed to set a new record in the Under 17 4x50m Freestyle Relay. The team finished the relay in 1:52.98 seconds breaking the previous record set in 2016 by Wolsey House.
Craigie House broke the Under 17 4x50m Medley Relay record.
