Christ Church officially welcomed the festive season with its highly anticipated Christmas Carol Service, held yesterday evening in the Chapel. A highlight in the School’s calendar, the event brought together members of the School community to celebrate the joy, hope, and unity of Christmas.
The service was a heartfelt celebration, with a blend of carols, scripture readings, and moments of reflection. The evening featured festive performances by the Community Choir, Preparatory and Senior School Choirs, along with the School’s talented music staff. The audience joined together in singing well-loved Christmas carols, including O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Joy to the World, which filled the Chapel with Christmas spirit.
The Christmas Carol Service has been a cherished tradition at the School for many years. A particularly significant milestone occurred in 1982, when the service was broadcast nationwide on Christmas Day by the ABC, marking a proud moment for the School.
