Student musicians from Christ Church Grammar School and St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls came together last Friday for the much-anticipated annual Combined Concert – a vibrant celebration of music, talent, and collaboration.

Held at the Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre, this year’s concert embraced the theme Songs You Know, delivering a heartwarming program of beloved and familiar favourites that delighted attendees of all ages.

Since its inception in 1988, this cherished tradition has provided students with the opportunity to build confidence, refine their musical abilities, and form friendships through the shared love of music.

From captivating solos to powerful ensemble pieces, each performance was a testament to the dedication, talent, and passion of the students involved. The grand finale was a highlight, uniting 97 students in the Combined Symphony Orchestra. Together, they brought Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty and Eve of War from War of the Worlds to life in an unforgettable performance.

A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us in celebrating the unifying power of music and the spirit of community.
