New boys and families receive a warm Christ Church welcome

Christ Church was full of excitement last Friday with the welcoming of our 2020 students and parents at Orientation Day.
Over 75 boys were invited to experience their new classrooms in the Preparatory School, meet their teachers and fellow classmates ahead of next year. Meanwhile, over 100 new boys entering the Senior School joined the incoming Year 7 cohort for plenty of fun activities within their House groups.
All new parents and guardians were also given a warm welcome by the School’s Parents’ Association at an information fair and morning tea hosted in the Refectory.
In boarding, our incoming boarders had the great opportunity to experience life at Christ Church with an afternoon tea and games, swim in the school pool, traditional Friday night BBQ and sleepover in Knutsford Boarding House.
Summing up the orientation experience, comments from boys included; “It was fun”, “Don’t change orientation!”, “The food is mouth watering” and “The Year 7 buddies did a fantastic job of making the younger boys feel comfortable and welcome.”
