The 2025 CCGS v Old Boys’ Summer Games on Saturday was a resounding success. The event brought together current First Team students and old boys in a celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and friendly competition.

The games featured a thrilling mix of contests, including intense tennis rallies, high-energy basketball action, fast-paced volleyball matches, and an exciting water polo game. Each event highlighted the diverse talents of participants from both teams, showcasing the strengths of both current students and alumni.

The old boys emerged victorious, claiming most of the event titles and securing the 2025 Summer Sports Trophy.

“It was great watching the CCGS Summer Sports First Team go head-to-head with the old boys,” said Zac Vinten, President of the Old Boys’ Association. “We always look forward to this challenge and love bringing our members together to compete for the trophy. Our team includes former Olympians, along with others who simply love the sport. It’s also wonderful to see the dedication of the First Team coaches as they prepare their players for what promises to be an exciting 2025 summer season.”

Old boy Richard O’Halloran (’09) reflected on the experience, saying, “I loved my time playing PSA Water Polo at school. It’s fantastic to stay connected with the CCGS community through the Old Boys’ Summer Games, and the new pool precinct is world class.”

This year’s games saw strong representation of old boys from several cohorts. Their participation reinforced the deep-rooted connections that continue to define the Old Boys’ Association and its lasting legacy.
