Christ Church is excited to provide an update on PERFORM. We are proud to announce our partnership with the renowned Kerry Hill Architects to bring this visionary performing arts building to life.

Designed as a dynamic hub for creativity, PERFORM will nurture talent in music, dance, oration, and drama. It will be a home for the teaching and learning of performance, wellbeing and ethics – a place dedicated to building the inner man.

As the largest single investment in the School’s history, PERFORM marks a transformative milestone in our ongoing commitment to excellence and highlights the value we place on the Arts. Every aspect of its design has been carefully considered to ensure it meets the needs of current students and future generations.

At the heart of the PERFORM building will be a state of the art, 480-seat auditorium – an extraordinary space designed to accommodate a wide variety of events. From vibrant drama productions and Soli, to the much-anticipated Preparatory School Winter and Spring Music Concerts and Senior School Music Night, this versatile venue will be at the forefront of the School’s Arts calendar.

Beyond its use for the Arts, the building will also serve as a gathering space for the entire school community. It will host guest speaker presentations, workshops, and the annual House Shout, becoming a central hub for student engagement. Additionally, PERFORM will offer invaluable benefits to parents and the wider Christ Church community. The facility will serve as a venue for Parent Forums, information sessions, and community events.

Key features of the PERFORM building include:

  • 480-seat auditorium
  • Black Box Theatre with retractable seating, offering additional classroom flexibility
  • Ensemble Room with stunning river views
  • River view terrace and upper floor terrace
  • Green room
  • Dressing rooms
  • Costume design room
  • Recording studio
  • Music resource centre
  • 15 music practice rooms

The PERFORM project will cost $40 to $50M. We have launched a $20M philanthropic capital campaign to raise money through the generosity of the Christ Church community. All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
