Year 10 Humanities students were treated this week to a guest presentation from our very own Chinese teachers – Ms Baolin Zhou and Ms Yang Zhang.

They spoke on the topic of the “lived experience of a foreign political system”, which provided an interesting insight for the Year 10 boys in their current unit comparing Australia’s system of government with that of a foreign nation.

Both teachers spoke fondly of their childhood in China as they reflected on some of the interesting social, cultural and political differences between the two countries.

Assistant Head of Humanities Jon Wyllie said, “The boys were fortunate to have Ms Zhou and Ms Zhang give up their time to help them understand what it is like to grow up in a very different political system.”
