Year 11 students Sam Hicks and Jackson Anderson recently represented Australia in the 2024 Oceania Swimming Championships on the Gold Coast. The students were two of only 16 swimmers (four from WA) to represent Australia in this international competition. Both Jackson and Sam put in a phenomenal effort and achieved fantastic results.

Jackson secured impressive placements across multiple events. In the Men’s 100 Freestyle, he clinched the third position, in the Men’s 100 Butterfly he came in fourth position, and took out third place in the Men’s 50 Freestyle. Jackson also played a pivotal role in several relay races. The 4×50 Freestyle relay, 4×100 Freestyle Relay, 4×200 Freestyle Relay, and 4×100 Medley Relay that he participated in all culminated in first-place finishes.
