Last night the School hosted the annual Boarding Dinner in Sandover to farewell for our departing Year 12 boarders and their parents.

Arriving at Christ Church from across Australia and the world, our Year 12 boarders formed close-knit bonds through their shared experiences away from home. The boarding experience is vastly different to that of a day student – while they share classes, co-curricular activities, and outdoor education experiences, living on campus adds another layer of integration and connection to Christ Church. This is what makes boarders such an integral part of our school community.

This event celebrates the unique and enduring friendships developed over their school journey, and provided a poignant send off to our Year 12s. Among our old boy network, we often see boarders maintain these friendships throughout their lifetime, and gravitating towards other old boy boarders at events, reminiscing on their days in the Walters boarding house. We hope our Year 12 boarders of 2024 can stay connected through our OBA network and wish them all the best as they embark on their next adventure.
