The 1994 Leavers had a solid turnout for our 20 Year Reunion. The Claremont Hotel proved to be a fitting venue with many old memories relived. Some early starters were taken on a school tour prior to the reunion and commented on how much the School had progressed and how impressive it looked. This led to many stories of the ‘old days’ and how much harder it used to be. In particular, we compared the freezing pool temperatures or river swimming to the heated pool of today! Many teachers names were discussed including Akos Kovacs who was respected (and feared) by most but also fondly remembered. Thanks to Director of Planning and Co-Curricular Mark Morrissy (1979) for leading the tour. The evening went without a hitch and all had a good time, many following steps of old and venturing to Club Bay View post-event. We all felt refreshingly young again – although the rest of the patrons were left wondering, who are these old guys? Great night had by all! Special thanks to numerous old boys who travelled from interstate and overseas to make the event one to remember. And thanks to the other organising team members Tim Day, Mike Mansell, Zane Randell and Tim Wood.
