David HallamDavid Hallam (1972) is one of three 2015-2016 Getty Conservation Institute guest scholars currently working at the Institute in Los Angeles, California. David is studying the use of oxide coatings on modern metals in a heritage context. The project aims to produce a guide to the identification of coatings on modern metals. Previously David worked at the War Memorial, then National Museum of Australia in Canberra. Lately he works independently all over the world and has an attachment as Honorary Research Associate with a museum in Launceston, Tasmania.
