Grant Mackintosh with Red Dot AwardGrant Mackintosh’s (1965) company Draggin’ Jeans has been working in collaboration with Deakin University to understand the science behind abrasive resistant fabrics. The research has resulted in Draggin’ Jeans winning three Red Dot awards … the world’s leading industrial award for motorcycle and more recently cycling clothing. Surprisingly no one has ever undertaken this work to date but with more and more extreme sports this sort of protection is needed.
