Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers (1966)

On 6 December, Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers (1966) was elected President of the Federation of International Polo General Assembly (FIP) in Buenos Aires, a post which lasts two years revolving for a further two years. FIP is the federation of some 77 national polo associations around the world. Nicholas is the second Australian to hold the post, the last being James Ashton, from New South Wales, although it is the first time that a former Chairman of the Hurlingham Polo Association has been elected to the post. Nicholas’s interest in polo started in Perth and Canberra. He has been playing for more than 40 years and has been Chairman of Ham Polo Club in London for the past 20 years.
