Peter Nixon (1967) believes the challenge of meeting world food demand, predicted to double in the next 50 years, can only be achieved by intelligent farming, that also sets soil health as a core objective. As past National and International Chairman of the Nuffield Farming Scholarship program, Peter has provided farmers, from the 7 participating countries, with professional development opportunities to ensure world’s best practice is adopted at a local level. Peter is dedicated to improving farming techniques based on research, development and farmer experience. Peter’s grandson Luke Nixon starts at CCGS next year as a boarder, being the 61st year in the family history of attendance at the School!
